Booking policies

All services booked through Stonewell Cottages are subject to the following policies. You will be required to provide credit card details as security.

weekend booking policy

Minimum stay on the weekend is 2 nts. Saturday night must be booked together with either Fri or Sun nts.
A single Sat nt booking can be requested and is subject to availability and at the descretion of the Manager. An extra surcharge will apply for a single Sat nt stay.
Minimum stay on all long weekends is 3 nts.
Other booking restrictions apply to Barossa festivals, special events, public holidays, Easter, Xmas and New Years periods. Please check at time of booking.

children policy

It is our aim to provide a peaceful escape for couples. Stonewell Cottages is not a family holiday destination.
Children & infants cannot be accommodated in the Haven Spa Retreats or Cupid's Cottage.
By special request at the time of booking (you must call us to discuss this before proceeding with online booking) children and infants can be accommodated in the Hideaway Cottage only
- infants under 2 years of age are charged @ $25 per night
- a port-a-cot can be provided on request, free of charge
- children 2-12 years are charged @ full adult per night rate
Visitors of paying guests are strictly not permitted to bring their children on site.

excess cleaning and damages

Smoking - permitted outdoors only. A min cleaning surcharge of $50 will apply if guests smoke inside.
Excess cleaning - It is the guests’ responsibility on departure to leave the cottage tidy & in a respectable condition. If extra cleaning is necessary a minimum charge of $50 will apply.
Damages - Any breakages or damages to goods & property is the guests’ responsibility to pay for on departure
Wood fires - For safety reasons, wood fires are not in use during the total fire ban season 1 Nov - 30 April.

late departure

Due to our high occupancy, departure is strictly by 11am to allow adequate time to prepare for incoming guests. If our guest services staff are kept waiting due to late departure (where a late check-out has not been pre-arranged, prior to arrival) a charge of $20 per half hour or part thereof will apply.

early check-in / late check-out

Early arrival or late departure can be requested and is subject to availability @ $10 per hour. Please contact us prior to your arrival to arrange this.

extra occupancy

Hideaway Cottage - when both bedrooms are used for one couple or two single people, a $25/nt surcharge applies. Two, three & four person rates apply for the Hideaway and must be booked accordingly before arrival.
No extra beds/roll-away beds/sofa beds are available in any of the cottages.
Stonewell Cottages and Vineyards is a private property. The use of the grounds and cottages are for the number of booked and paying guests only.

weddings and events

Stonewell Cottages and Vineyards is a privately owned property. When an accommodation booking is made, the use of the cottage and grounds is for the number of booked and paying guests only.
If you would like to hold your wedding ceremony or any other event on our property, you must first seek permission from Management to do so. You will be provided with the terms and conditions in regards to the use of our property for this purpose, along with an events booking form.
