Activites @ stonewell
Surrounded by distant rolling hills, tranquil water at your doorstep and the ever-changing beauty of the vines, Stonewell Cottages offer a wealth of activities to awaken your senses, revitalise and inspire.
A gaggle of friendly ducks welcome you as you start your day with a leisurely, late breakfast on your verandah.
Take a scenic walk around the lake and enjoy a picnic in the summerhouse. A row to the island gazebo takes you to one of the many spots to sit and relax and study the birds that frequent the lake. Throw in a fishing line and you may catch a red-fin perch or a trout. Summertime awakens the sleepy yabbies. Fishing lines and yabbie nets can be supplied on request.
Just want to relax? Spoil yourself with an in-room massage or body treatment in the privacy of your own cottage.
How about a bit of exercise with plenty of wine and food stops along the way? With the start of the famous Seppeltsfield Road Palm Avenue only 1km from the cottages, riding along this scenic tourist drive is a great way to spend the day. Two good quality mountain bikes (one men’s size and one women’s size) are available for hire.
Conclude the day with a Gourmet Regional Food Platter and a glass of Stonewell wine, as you watch the setting sun colour the water.
