On holidays you shouldn't need to cook! So why not dine out for lunch or dinner. For that special occasion “Appellation”, just 1km up the road from Stonewell Cottages, is a must! “1918 Bistro and Grill” is also highly recommended and is only a short 3km drive into Tanunda. If you would perfer to eat in, you can order a gourmet regional food platter from Stonewell Cottages.

Appellation

Appellation, located at "The Louise" is open to the general public, not just inhouse guests. The intimate dining space offers elegant candlelit dining with beautiful views over Stonewell Vineyards and toward the Barossa ranges. The exceptional culinary skills of Mark McNamara and his passion for creating menus based on fresh, seasonal and regional food, along with the first class service, will ensure a memorable dining experience. Each month features a different tasting menu where Mark and his team create dishes around specially selected regional wines, using the finest local produce.

Chef's Tasting menu: $135 pp (5 course degustation which varies daily with matched wines)
A la carte menu: 3 selections $105 pp plus or minus $35 for additional or fewer selections (Beverages additional)

1918 Bistro & Grill

1918 is located within a beautiful old villa built in 1918. It is set back from the main street of Tanunda, where you can dine on the wide verandah in the lovely garden setting during summer, and sit by the warm open fires inside during winter. 1918 Bistro & Grill has achieved a high reputation for serving fresh, seasonally-inspired regional cuisine accompanied by well selected local wines in a relaxed atmosphere with excellent service.
