Get to the Barossa

Getting from Adelaide to the Barossa

The easiest transport option for getting to and from the Barossa is to hire a car from Adelaide airport or Adelaide city. A hire car is also easiest for touring the Barossa area.

The public transport to and from the Barossa isn't very extensive! The Barossa is accessible via train and bus services. But, as there is no public transport within the Barossa itself, if you do not have a car, you will need to rely on taxi to get from Tanunda to Stonewell Cottages (3km out of Tanunda) and/or use one of the winery tour companies which can do Adelaide-Barossa transfers and provide transfers around the Barossa.
