Daughters Of The Valley Shiraz 2005
Slightly funky, old-fashioned shiraz. Some plums and herbs on the nose and a long briary/chocolaty palate.

Good Red Drinking - Daughters Of The Valley Shiraz 2005
This comes from the Stonewell Vineyards in the Barossa Valley and is produced by the Pfeiffer family. Deep dark purple in colour, the wine has a broodingly intense liquery intoxicatingly seductive set of aromas. Think blackberry, spicy plums, black liquorice, rich red earth and a hint of game. All of this is delivered with a purity and intensity that promises much. Pure fruit melded with seamless oak and good alcohol along with silky tannins makes it a pleasure to drink. Drink to 2020. 93/100.

Daughters to make any parent proud.
Stonewell Vineyards & Wines from the Barossa Valley have released the Daughters of the Valley wine. The 2005 Shiraz is deep purple in colour, with an intense nose of plum, licorice and chocolate. The palate offers rich berry fruit, subtle oak and a lingering fruit finish. The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied wine with aromas of blackcurrant and cloves while the palate reflects the intense fruit heritage of a forty year old vine that is mouth filling and has great length.
