Vintners Bar & Grill is one of the Barossa Valley’s longest operating restaurants. Nestled amongst vineyards, with alfresco and formal dining options with rustic open fire to suit the season, Vintners dedication to high quality service and food has seen it become a favourite destination for both locals and out-of-town guests. It’s always been our personal choice for our own ‘special celebration’ dinners. Vintner’s is located just out of the town of Angaston and is just a short 8 minute (10km) drive from the cottages.
Vintners specialises in giving a modern twist to both new and traditional ingredients from across South Australia. Located next door to the Barossa Farmers Market, the team at Vintners are treated to a first-hand look at the local produce changing with the seasons, and are able to source the freshest ingredients. If you are in the Barossa on a Saturday morning, enjoy a browse through the Barossa Farmers Market and then head across to Vintners for a long lunch.
Head chef, Peter Clarke has a passion for fresh, local produce and uses his extensive experience in the kitchen to marry flavours and technique to tantalise your tastebuds. Host, Rami Heer’s detailed knowledge of local and imported wines from Vintners’ extensive list and the ever-changing wines by the glass, allow guests to savour the Barossa in the glass as well as on the plate. Vintners has won many awards, including Best Regional Restaurant several times, and is well recognized as one of South Australia’s landmark food and wine experiences. The restaurant encapsulates what the Barossa does best; exceptional wine and outstanding food.
