One week later!!

Our complimentary wine for guests this month is the Seppeltsfield Grenache. The wine was made in the ‘joven’ style, meaning it is to be enjoyed now and has no oak maturation. The grapes are harvested from a contoured row, bush-vine block. This means all the grapes have to be hand picked and hand pruned. The Grenache was crafted through the historic 1888 Gravity Cellar. Built into the hillside on a series of terraces, gravity guides the flow of fruit down through the winery to deliver gentle extraction of colour, flavour and tannin.
Enjoy the wine, then a ‘must do’, is visit Seppeltsfield. Drive along the iconic date palm lined roads, enjoy the beautiful gardens, have a picnic from Benno’s kiosk, or choose to dine at Fino, visit Vasse Virgin, the JamFactory and all the other artisan makers. It is a fabulous day out!!

Fluffy towels, snuggly bathrobes, candlelit 2 person spa, made all the more inviting with our new guest amenities from our friends in Seppeltsfield, Vasse Virgin. Have a big soak, relax and rejuvenate with their beautiful products.

Engineering, digging and welding fun!

Our 8.8kw solar installation on the cottages is now complete. This complements our stand alone, off grid, 5kw solar system on our farm shed and office.

Dan and Evan have been busily angle-grinding and welding making the frames for our new signage which is about to be installed in the next week. What do you get when you have a surveyor and an engineer working on a project? Definitely nothing that is under engineered!! Reggie our eccentric Jack Russell who is constantly on the look out for rabbits and kangaroos and loves digging holes, has been keeping an eye on things too!

Just around the corner from the cottages, on Mattiske Road, Hayes Family Wines have opened a new cellar door, well worth a visit and an easy short walk away.

Another very exciting new venue that will be opening it’s doors at the end of this month is Seppeltsfield Rd Distillers. Already winning accolades for their outstanding gins, you can be one of the first to visit their stunning tasting room with a guided gin tasting experience included in our soon to be released Spring Fling Package. Stay tuned, we will let you know when our Spring Fling package is released. In the meantime, as winter comes to an end, why not grab some of our last remaining availability towards the end of this month and book our winter sale and save $100.

Our fabulous Proposal Package has been expanded to include a champagne sunset tour to a beautiful location. This is a package just brimming with romance, one your intended will never forget!

The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting cooler. The first of May signaled the end of the fire ban and all the wood boxes have been placed back at the cottages. There is nothing nicer than the glow of a warm fire and snuggling on the couch to watch a movie with a port after a great day out exploring the Barossa.

Next month will see the launch of our Winter Warmer seasonal special. It will include tempting soups, tasty desserts and a great winery experience.
